The Absence thread

OK, so my computer started acting up this evening. It's making a noise like a table saw. Most likely, the fan on the video card is catching on something, but without dismantling the damn thing I can't know for sure, and if I did that... I'd never get it back in working order again.

I'll see what I can do about getting it fixed, but I have NO idea how long it will take. My netbook allows me internet access, but no WoW. We'll just have to see when I can come back online.

OK, I have identified the problem as coming from the gpu fan, that is the fan on my graphics card. It is a Radeon HD 4650. This is apparently a known issue, and while it is possible to get a new fan to replace the old, I'd much rather get a new card.

I don't know how long it's going to take to get a new and have it replaced, but until it's done I won't be logging into WoW. My NetBook allows me internet acces, but that's all.

Seems like my hardware issue is resolved... for now. We now return to our regular programming.
